The Relais Il Postiglione, strategically located along Via Cassia Antica between Rome and Tuscia, is known since 1463 with the name "Albergo del Lione". In 1666 it was bought by the Chigi princes who entrusted the restoration to Carlo Fontana, pupil of Bernini. Today Relais Il Postiglione is a modern structure that, in keeping with its prestigious history, offers rooms and suites with every comfort, a restaurant open daily to propose traditional dishes cooked with seasonal products, and a fully equipped meeting room. A large Italian garden and a lovely swimming pool complete our structure.

The ample and comfortable internal dining rooms offer the concept of country dining in a very refined atmosphere. Several welcoming solutions have been adopted: the most intimate in the dining hall with the great original fireplace and in the four season room; the central hall permits the accommodation of larger numbers, where the high ceilings and the great vaults remind the diners of the ancient passage of the carriages. Local and traditional dishes from Abruzzo region bring to life a truly enjoyable mix of authentic flavors and aromas. The continuous search for special ingredients, coupled with a personal interpretation of classic recipes, never stressed but only made gentler to cater to today’s tastes, provide the guest with moments of happiness for their taste buds.
